Well, you get to see the bad with the good. I’m in the middle of a major remodel and I’ve decided to keep the developing site live. I may regret that and change my mind later.
A few months ago I decided to change the company that hosts my online portfolio. I’ve been with Smugmug for a few years and I’ve really liked their service, design, and customization ability – no complaints. But I felt that Photoshelter had a slight edge, so I’ve decided to host my images with them. I like the idea of using WordPress to manage the main portion of my site and there are great integration options between top-notch themes developed by Graph Paper Press and Photoshelter. So that is the approach I’m taking. Of course, getting everything configured in WordPress, the Graph Paper Press Theme, and Photoshelter to present my site the way I want is no small task. Lots to learn. Normally I would do that learning, configuring, and developing on my local computer or out of site on my server, but my smugmug account expired and I didn’t want to have a gap in having my images online.
So here we are. I could still put up a pretty front page and give you access to the image archive, but I decided to publish the WordPress end of things too. I hope you don’t mind. You’ll probably see changes (big ones) each time you visit (please come again soon!) but the changes will settle down soon, I hope.
So thanks for visiting. I hope the clutter isn’t too unsightly. I hope you enjoy the photography regardless!
